how to brainstorm ideas for writing

instead of waiting for inspiration to strike, i tell you my method for how to CREATE that inspiration through brainstorming.

and it's not just useful for new ideas either - any kind of problem you come up against in your writing can be solved this way. if you're stuck in a plot hole, you've written yourself into a corner, or even if you don't know WHY you're stuck: this technique is the answer.
