payments can be declined for many reasons.

here are a few of the most common problems, and what to do about them.


payment blocked

if you get an error message saying, "there was an issue processing your payment information. please update the card you entered to continue," it may be that your bank suspected fraud and declined the payment. sometimes banks automatically block big, online, overseas payments because they suspect fraud. if this is the case, you’ll need to contact your bank and let them know that the payment is you, and to allow it to go through.


payment declined

a payment can be declined because of insufficient funds. if this is the case, you can use an alternative payment method or add funds to the account.


payment information error

perhaps the card number was typed incorrectly. try re-entering the card number and see if it goes through this time. you may also want to check that your card isn't expired.
